Have you noticed a change in interior and exterior paint choices lately? Leading paint experts are saying that 2019 will be reminiscent of the 1970's in terms of paint trends. We have started seeing this change in several of the new model homes we recently toured. White cabinetry, that we have been seeing for several years, was replaced with more muted (pickled) wood tones or darker (painted) jewel tones. The bathrooms had darker vanities and patterned tile, and accent walls were duly noted.  While white walls and white kitchens are still popular, we are seeing designers add caramel or cognac leather furniture, reclaimed wood accent tables, and tons of tactile fabric pillows and throws in jewel tones, allowing our eyes to "land" in the space. Kitchen organization has become a huge industry with pull-out spice cabinets, drawers, garbage bins, divided cabinets for baking sheets, and then you have all the different organizers that you can add to the inside of your cabinets, like lid organizers and tiered spice racks, risers for plates, hooks for mugs or measuring cups, and lazy susans for those items that get lost behind more frequently used items.  There's Command hooks and a million different labels for canisters, magnetic strips for knives, etc...but the one kitchen organizer that has some homeowners on the fence, is the pot rack.  Some say they are great for being able to reach your pots and pans without digging way back in a cabinet, or that they create a "lived in" feel (add warmth); others

Introducing Phase II of Eagle Mountain's Most Exciting Park!

25 additional acres are now open in the Cory B. Wride Memorial Park.  Amenities in this new phase include a splash pad, zip lines, swings, a massive playground, including slides, rickety bridge, a cargo net, rope climbers, and musical equipment, pickleball, tennis, and basketball courts, a small and large pavilion, and a festival field. These are in addition to the baseball diamonds, restrooms, spectator stands, and a concessions building. Getting to and from Eagle Mountain doesn't currently involve a lot of traffic, but with projected population growth in the area, it is necessary to think ahead and plan for the future. UDOT just released this great video which talks about proposals and plans for S.R. 73, the future Mountain View Corridor, and other proposed solutions to alleviate commuting delays.
